What a veteran agent gives you

CSSBuy has been around long enough to have survived the 2024 Pandabuy raid era and a US trademark lawsuit, which our keyword file records. Its search base is unusual: around 90,500 monthly searches come from Brazil against a few thousand from Germany, France or Spain. For a European Hipobuy user that means fewer guides in your language, but also an agent that does not live or die by the same TikTok trends that drive newer agents.

The latest Trustpilot reviews are mixed. One recent two-star review complains about a buggy site and a slow return, yet notes the parcel arrived and that the shipping price was the lowest the reviewer had found at the time. That trade-off, low line prices against a clunky interface, comes up repeatedly.

Where CSSBuy is weaker

The interface is older and some reviewers report notes on orders being ignored. If you rely on special packing instructions, write them in the parcel request as well as the order, and check the photos before you approve shipping. Support works in Chinese business hours, so expect replies overnight from Europe.

Switching a find between Hipobuy and CSSBuy

1. Open the find on Hipobuy and copy the marketplace URL it is built from (Taobao, Weidian or 1688).
2. Paste that URL into the search field on CSSBuy.
3. Check that the picture, the price in yuan and the size options match what the sheet promised.
4. Add the item to your CSSBuy cart; storage starts when it reaches CSSBuy's warehouse.

The item price stays the same because the Chinese seller sets it. What changes is everything after purchase: QC photos, storage days, available lines and coupons. That is why it pays to compare the parcel estimate on both agents before buying.

Spain: VAT and the €3 category duty on a CSSBuy order

Say you buy a jacket, a cap and a belt through CSSBuy for €95 in total and pick a line that quotes €32 for the parcel. Spain charges 21% import VAT on goods plus transport, about €26.67. Since 1 July 2026 the EU also charges a flat €3 customs duty for each different tariff category in parcels up to €150 sent under IOSS; this basket has 3 categories, so €9. Landed cost: roughly €162.67, before any carrier handling fee.

Hipobuy is the agent this site centres on, so we checked its help centre item by item; for CSSBuy we recorded what its own pages and Trustpilot showed on the same day. If a cell says to check the agent's help pages, it means the figure was not readable from outside an account.

What to look at in CSSBuy's QC photos

Check the label and size tag first, because a wrong size is the cheapest problem to fix before shipping. Then look at seams and stitching at stress points, the colour against the listing under neutral light, and any hardware such as zips and buckles. For shoes, ask for both shoes side by side and the soles. If something is off, raise it while the item is still within the return window; once a parcel leaves China, fixing it is rarely practical.

Keeping a CSSBuy parcel affordable

Three habits cut most parcels by a meaningful amount. Remove shoeboxes for all but one pair, since boxes add volume and weight. Group similar items so the €3 EU duty counts fewer tariff categories. Ship once rather than twice, because each parcel pays its own declaration fee and its own duty. Then check whether CSSBuy's shipping coupon needs a minimum parcel value, and plan the basket around it.

Questions worth asking CSSBuy support

Ask which lines to your country include import VAT and the €3 category duty in the price, and which leave them to be paid on delivery. Ask how long items usually take from 'arrived' to 'photos available'. Ask whether parcel insurance covers customs seizure as well as loss. The answers, and how quickly they come, are a good test of whether CSSBuy suits you.

New accounts are best tested with something inexpensive and easy to judge from photos, such as a hoodie or a cap, rather than an expensive watch or a designer-style bag.
